    Hi Jen,

    I really appreciated getting to know you in your video and both hearing and seeing how passionate your are with your teaching practice and the committees and projects you're working on.

    The "math language" across early grades that you talk about is very interesting to me as I agree that differing approaches and terms for math topics can lead to a lot of confusion that I see in my first year students in college and having a definitive "this is what we're talking about" can help to alleviate stress in their learning. Looking forward to hearing more about this and your other projects as we progress through the course

    Hi Jen,

    Thanks for sharing your story. I think the cross-curricular unit on Haida Gwaii sounds amazing. What did that look like in terms of reaching out to Indigenous community members? Does your board work with the local communities to create authentic experiences? My board is slowly building these experiences and I am always interested in what other boards are doing. Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to learning with you.

    I enjoy watching your video, especially the part about your connection to the course. The ideas implemented at your school are outstanding. I particularly love the cross-curricular units. I am trying to implement it in my teaching and create an experience for my students. I believe it's a great way to help them retain knowledge and acquire different competencies.
