Module 3: Extension Blog
Hello!
For the extended visual, Rhonda Swenson and I added planning, instruction and assessment to our Prezi. Rather than continuing to add on to the original Prezi, we decided to take the core concepts of Philosophy and Design and extend each of those to incorporate Planning, Instruction and Assessment. Our visual was more of a mind-map to show our thought process during Module 2, and a refined and thought-out image for Module 3. The chart in the last slide combines all of the concepts we've explored so far in a more succinct visual. I've attached this below as well.
Our Prezi can be found here:

If you wish to see the entire presentation, just zoom out and start at slide 1. I look forward to hearing your feedback!
Best,Jen
Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed navigating through your updated Prezi with details broken down by curriculum designs based on planning, instruction, and assessment details. The points you chose to highlight were great references to clarify and give examples of what each stage of integrated course development and delivery can look like. This was a great way to add depth while still having easy to consume information. I agree it was a lot of information and I think you've used a couple visual tools to both give valuable depth while remaining at a level that adds clarity.
While navigating through your Prezi I noticed the "progression" took you though first instruction, then design, then assessment. Was there a reasoning for this ordering?
I really appreciate how you've put everything together in your summary table; this is a great diagram that gives a quick reference to everything we've been looking at and learning so far in the first part of the course! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to using this a reference for myself as we move forward.

Hi Jen
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your prezi. I like how you outlined the concepts we have been studying this term and how you applied the philosophy and connected it to curriculum. Your organization and the way you set up your prezi made it easy to follow and understand the terms. I like how you connected theory to assessment and defined and explained the different planning and assessment approaches. How would you apply those approaches in your own classroom? Do you find that you stick to one approach or do you 'mix and match' planning, teaching, and assessment based on needs and content? Great job on this project!

Hey Jen! It was great to hear about your process and have you both navigate through your visual on zoom. I am very impressed with the level of detail and thought that you brought to each part of the presentation. The order of each part flows smoothly and logically and provides a great overview of the material. I found the planning, instruction and assessment chart on its own to be a great and simple visual of a lot of complex information. Looks great!
